AdWords Overview

How to get the most out of your ad budget.

Date: Friday, 13th April, 2007
Time: 5:00 PM
Venue: A-13 (PICIC Auditorium)
Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore

With Google AdWords™, you’ll be able to reach your customers at the precise moment they’re looking for your products or services. When users search on Google, they’re demonstrating which products they’re interested in. With AdWords ads, your customers will see your ad next to relevant search results they’ve requested. In addition, your ads could also appear on relevant search and content sites within the Google Network. With Google’s precise targeting and your ability to control how much you’re willing to pay per click, the end result is a higher return on investment (ROI) for your advertising budget.

Brief Outline of the Seminar
  • Introduction to Google and its Products
  • Introduction to Google natural/organic search
  • Introduction to Internet marketing & Google AdWords (live demo)
    • How is it different from traditional banner ads?
    • How does it work?
    • How cost-effective is it?
    • Why does it have the maximum ROI amongst all advertising channels?
  • Web analytics
The Google Goodies Question
Come up with a 3-word term that has MINIMUM search results on google.com. The rules are:

All three words have to be real English words.
No search operators, special characters or numbers can be used.
The search results can be minimum 1, but they have to be greater than zero.

The person(s) with the minimum amount of search results, i.e. 1 result, will get the chance to win quite a few goodies from Google :D
